I recently put two very similar mice to the test: the affordable M10 from AliExpress at CAN $28.99 and the premium Logitech MX Master 3S, which I purchased for CAN $129.99 on sale at BestBuy. After months of daily use, I’m sharing my honest experience with both.

Design and Feel: Nearly Identical Comfort
Surprisingly, both mice feel very close in design and usability. Whether working on my Mac Studio or Dell workstation, the ergonomics and button placement across the M10 and Logitech make them equally comfortable to use.
Connectivity and Usage
I use both mice with their USB dongles for a more responsive connection with higher polling rates than Bluetooth can provide. The Logitech MX Master 3S connects effortlessly to my Mac Studio, while the M10 excels on my Dell workstation, which is the only device without built-in Bluetooth, and on my Zephyrus laptop running CachyOS Gnome Edition.
A standout feature I’ve noticed is how CachyOS remembers the Bluetooth settings of the cheap M10 mouse even after days of inactivity, making reconnection seamless.
Battery Life and Charging
Battery life is the main difference I observed. The Logitech arrived pre-charged to 60% and after daily use for over a month, I haven’t needed to recharge it yet. The M10 requires charging every 3 to 4 weeks but offers the handy advantage of working while plugged in and charging.
Software and Functionality
I opted not to install the Logitech software, as the default button layout suits me perfectly. Both mice support all expected clicks, including page forward and back buttons, and the side scroll wheel, although I rarely use the wheel outside of specialized applications like my DAW and Shotcut.
Conclusion: Solid Choice for Every Budget
Overall, the M10 mouse from AliExpress impressively punches above its weight, delivering reliable performance and comfort at a fraction of the price. If you prioritize longer battery life and premium materials, the Logitech MX Master 3S is worth the investment.
However, for daily tasks and multi-device setups, especially on a budget, the M10 is a fantastic alternative, exceeding my expectations. If you haven’t found your perfect keyboard yet, check out my Satechi SM1 Slim review.
